To begin with, I am located in Madisonville. I have taken this journey necklace to the local jewelry store and was told that there is about one karat of diamonds, and is sterling silver. He told me that it is worth $300.00. I don't have the receipt but do have the original Zales box it came in. He also told me that it has quality hinges at the joints making it a better quality piece. Who ever gets this will not be disappointed.
