I have a natural "split" twin white cedar pole with short branches and a white cedar "divided" bird feeder for sale. This item can be easily fed from the ground without the need for a ladder. If the item is utilized on flat ground the attached base provides a sound support system. If the item is utilized on a lawn or on uneven ground then the spikes (included) should be used to stabilize this item. There are holes drilled for the spikes in the base support system. The entire unit is sealed in Helmsman Spar satin sealer which will provide many years of trouble free use.
